| I have a battle raging within me
| |
A battle of breath and dust
| A battle of heaven and hell |
| |
A battle of sinner and saint |
| Only one man can survive |
| |
It’s a match to the death
| He was here first
| |
But I shall be standing last |
| He was born in 61 |
| |
I was born in 76
| He is the Old Man
| |
I am the New Man |
| I believe that I have killed him
| |
I think I have crucified his flesh
| But like a hand out of the grave
| |
He grabs hold of me and refuses to let go |
| Every nail I pound into his flesh
| |
He brakes with the power of will
| Every stone I roll across his grave
| |
He moves with the power sin |
| Who can deliver the final death blow?
| |
Who can break the power of will and sin?
| Who can set me free?
| |
Non other then Jesus Himself |
| I have been crucified with Christ
| |
and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
| The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
| |
who loved me and gave himself for me.
