Mrs. Minnie Van Scoyoc of Van Ormer, died January 27, 1956. She wed Geor ge L. Van Scoyoc in 1892, who died in 1940. She is the daughter of Jam es B. McManamy. Surviving are four children: Mrs. Benson Dale, Victor, Rog er, and Carol; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Interment wi ll be in Cambria Mills Cemetery, Glasgow. (Altoona Mirror, January 30, 195 6).
[Note: according to this obituary, her father was James B. McManamy; howev er, according to the Biographical and Portrait Cyclopedia of Cambria Count y, her father was William McManamy. She did have a brother named Jam es B. McManamy.]
Minnie married George Leslie Van Scoyoc, son of John A Van Scoyoc and Susan Catherine Bowman. (George Leslie Van Scoyoc was born on 23 May 1854 in PA, died on 13 Jun 1940 and was buried in Cambria Mills Baptist Cemetery, Reade Twp., Cambria County, PA.)
