Mr. Paul E. Rickard Sr. of Blandburg died April 22, 1987 at his residenc e. He was born Dec 2, 1908 in Fallentimber, a son of Luther E. and Ma ry M. (Grove) Rickard. On Dec 17, 1926, in Cumberland, Md., he married t he former Margaret M. Van Scoyoc, who preceded him in death Sep 7, 197 5. He was the last of his generation and was also preceded in death by h is parents; two daughters: Joan Lauver and Ellen Curry on Dec 11, 1986; fo ur brothers: John, Joe Delozier, Dewaine on June 15, 1986; and three grand children. He is survived by these children: Paul E. Jr, Gordon D, Ga ry G, Virginia Spencer, Philena Coddington, Ruth Resnik, and Betty Eperjes i; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Mr Rickard retired in Jan 19 74 from Republic Steel in Cleveland, Ohio after 23 years of employme nt as a crane operator. For 15 years he had worked at the Forks Coal Min e, Blandburg. He was a member of the Brethern in Christ Church, Blandbur g, and had served in the Navy during World War II. Interment will be in Pl easant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Paul married Margaret M Van Scoyoc, daughter of John Walter Van Scoyoc and Julia A Westover. (Margaret M Van Scoyoc was born in 1908, died on 7 Sep 1975 and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cambria County, PA.)
