DEATH TAKES MRS. SUMMERVILLE
Since 1909 She Had Been a Livingston County Resident.
Mrs. Lula Jennie Summerville, 70, died at 9:15 last night at her home, 6 .5 miles north of Chillicothe on Highway 65.
She had been in failing health 2.5 years and seriously ill for the last t wo weeks.
Mrs. Summerville was born on Nov 2, 1890, at Noel, MO, the daughter of Le vi Lewis and Fannie (Brinkley) Butler.
She was a member of the Christian Church. She attended school at Noel a nd moved to Livingston County in 1909, residing here since that time.
On Jan 4, 1909, she was married to William Henry Summerville at Miami, O K. Mr. Summerville died on Aug 18, 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Summerville resid ed their entire married life on a farm.
She is survived by a son, Ed W. Summerville, RFD 5, Chillicothe; a daught er, Mrs. Elsie Sneden, Topeka, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Humphrey, Vinit a, OK, and Mrs. Bertha Barker, Bartlett, KS; five grandchildren, and fo ur great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and one great-grandchi ld.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the chap el of the Norman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Lula married William Henry Summerville, son of James Summerville and Julia Thorpe, on 4 Jan 1909 in Miami, OK 35.,36 (William Henry Summerville was born on 28 Oct 1884 in Chillicothe, MO 35,36 and died on 18 Aug 1957 in Chillicothe, MO 35,36.) The cause of his death was illness.
