Just Another Night

05-20-2000 – Rick Swartzentrover

The panic of eternal loneness
The ache of sadness deep within my chest
As depression slowly eats away at my heart
The perspiration builds as the tears begin to flow

Just another night like the thousands before
Praying that something new is on the TV so I can escape
But when the credits roll I look around and see only myself
My spirit collapses, its sound echoing off the walls

Does God predestine some people to die one second at a time?
Like bleeding to death from a paper cut.
Is the abundant Christian life only for the cute and lovely?
Or do some suffer the hell of aloneness because they never belong?
