Romans 7:17, 20-23 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth
in me. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin
that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil
is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind,
and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
1 Corinthians 3:1-3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto
spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed
you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it,
neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is
among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as
men?
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us
cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against
the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do
the things that ye would.
