First Epistle to the Corinthians
| And I | having come | to | you, | brethren, | came | not | according to | excellency |
| of word | or | wisdom, | announcing | to you | the | testimony | ♦ | of God. |
| For not 2 | ♦ | I 1 decided 3 | ♦ | to know | anything | among | you, | except | ♦ | Jesus |
| Christ, | and | him | crucified. |
| And | I | in | weakness | and | in | fear | and | in | trembling 2 | much 1 | was |
| προς | υμας | |||
| with | you; |
| and | my word | ♦ | ♦ | and | my preaching | ♦ | ♦ | [was] not | in | persuasive |
| human 3 | of 2 wisdom 4 | words, 1 | but | in | demonstration | of [the] Spirit | and |
| δυναμεως | ||
| of power; |
| that | your faith | ♦ | ♦ | might not be | ♦ | in | wisdom | of men, | but | in |
| δυναμει | θεου | |||
| power | of God. |
| But wisdom | ♦ | we speak | among | the | perfect; | but wisdom, | ♦ | not | ♦ | of this age, |
| ♦ | nor | of the | rulers | of this age, | ♦ | ♦ | who |
| καταργουμενων | ||
| are coming to nought. |
| But | we speak | wisdom | of God | in | a mystery, | the | hidden |
| [wisdom] which | predetermined 2 | ♦ | God 1 | before | the | ages | for | our glory, | ♦ |
| which | no one | of the | rulers | ♦ | of this age | ♦ | has known, | (for if | ♦ |
| they had known | not 8 | ♦ | the 1 | Lord 2 | of 3 the 4 | glory 5 | they would have crucified,) |
| but | according as | it has been written, | things which | eye | saw not, | ♦ | and | ear |
| heard not, | ♦ | and | into | heart | of man | came not, | ♦ | which |
| prepared 2 | ♦ | God 1 | for those that | loving | him, |
| but to us | ♦ | ♦ | God | revealed [them] | by | his Spirit; | ♦ | ♦ | for the | ♦ |
| Spirit | all things | searches, | even | the | depths | ♦ | of God. |
| For who | ♦ | knows 3 | of 1 men 2 | the things | ♦ | of man, | except | ♦ | the |
| spirit | ♦ | of man | which [is] | in | him? | so | also | the things | ♦ | of God |
| no one | knows, | except | ♦ | the | Spirit | ♦ | of God. |
| But we | ♦ | not | the | spirit | of the | world | received, | but | the | Spirit | which [is] |
| from | ♦ | God, | that | we might know | the things | by | ♦ | God | granted | to us: |
| which | also | we speak, | not | in | taught 2 | of 3 human 4 | wisdom 5 | words, 1 | but |
| in [those] | taught | of [the] Spirit 2 | Holy, 1 | by 6 spiritual 7 [means] 8 | spiritual 4 things 5 |
| συγκρινοντες | ||
| communicating. 3 |
| But [the] natural | ♦ | man | receives not | ♦ | the things | of the | Spirit |
| ♦ | of God, | for foolishness | ♦ | to him | they are; | and | he cannot | ♦ | know [them], |
| οτι | πνευματικως | ανακρινεται | ||||
| because | spiritually | they are discerned; |
| but the | ♦ | spiritual | discerns | ♦ | all things | but he | ♦ | by | no one |
| ανακρινεται | ||
| is discerned. |
| For who | ♦ | did know | [the] mind | of [the] Lord? | who | shall instruct | him? | But we | ♦ |
| [the] mind | of Christ | have. |
