Epistle to the Hebrews

CHAPTER 8
Now a summary     of   the things   being spoken of [is],   such 3   we 1 have 2   a high priest,
who   sat down   on   [the] right hand   of the   throne   of the   greatness   in   the
heavens;
of 2 the 3   holies 4   minister, 1   and   of the   tabernacle 2     true 1   which   pitched 3
the 1   Lord 2   and   not   man.
For every     high priest   for     to offer   both gifts     and   sacrifices
is constituted;   whence [it is]   necessary   to 4 have 5   something 6   also 7   [for] 1 this 2 one 3   which
he may offer.
If 2 indeed 3     for 1   he were   on   earth,   not even   would he be     a priest,   there being   the
priests   who   offer   according to   the   law   the   gifts,
who   [the] representation   and   shadow   serve   of the   heavenlies,
according as   was 2 divinely 3 instructed 4   Moses 1   being about   to complete   the   tabernacle;
for, see,     says he,   thou make   all things   according to   the   pattern   which   was shewn   thee
  in   the   mountain.
But now     a more excellent   he 2 has 3 obtained 4   ministry 1   by so much as   also
of a better   he 2 is 3   covenant 1   mediator,   which   upon   better   promises
has been established.
For if     that first       [one] were   faultless,   not     for a second
would be 2 sought 3   place. 1
For finding fault,     to 3 them 4   he 1 says, 2   Lo,   days   are coming,   saith   [the] Lord,
and   I will ratify   as regards   the   house   of Israel   and   as regards   the   house   of Juda
a covenant 2   new; 1
not   according to   the   covenant   which   I made   with their fathers,
in   [the] day   of my taking hold of     their hand       to lead   them
out of   [the] land   of Egypt;   because   they   did not continue     in   my covenant,
and I   disregarded   them,   saith   [the] Lord.
Because   this [is]   the   covenant   which   I will covenant   with the   house   of Israel   after
those days,       says   [the] Lord,   giving   my laws     into   their mind,
also   upon   hearts 2   their 1   I will inscribe   them;   and   I will be
to them   for   God,   and   they   shall be   to me   for   people.
And   not at all     shall they teach   each     neighbour 2   his, 1   and   each
his brother       saying,   Know   the   Lord;   because   all
shall know   me,   from   [the] little   [one] of them   to [the]   great [one]   of them.
Because   merciful   I will be   to their unrighteousnesses,       and   their sins
and   their lawlessnesses       in not wise
will I remember   more.
In   the   saying   New,   he has made old   the   first;   but that which
grows old   and   aged   [is] near   disappearing.
