First Epistle to the Thessalonians

CHAPTER 5
    But concerning     the   times   and   the   seasons,   brethren,   no 3   need 4
ye 1 have 2   for you   to be written [to],
    for yourselves 2     accurately 4   ye 1 know 3   that   the   day   of [the] Lord   as   a thief   by
  night   so   comes.
    For when     they may say,   Peace   and   security,   then   suddenly   upon 3 them 4
comes 2   destruction, 1   as   travail     to her   that is with child;
and   in no wise     shall they escape.
    But ye,     brethren,   are not     in   darkness,   that   the   day   you   as   a thief
should overtake:
    all   ye   sons   of light   are   and   sons   of day;   we are not     of night
nor   of darkness.
    So   then   we should not sleep     as   also   the   rest,   but
we should watch   and   we should be sober;
    for they that     sleep   by 2 night 3   sleep, 1   and   they that
are drunken   bu 3 night 4   get 1 drunk; 2
    but we     of 2 day 3   being 1   should be sober,   having put on   [the] breastplate   of faith
and   love,   and   [as] helmet   hope 2   salvation’s; 1
    because   not 3   has 2 set 4   us 5     God 1   for   wrath,   but   for   obtaining   salvation
through     our Lord     Jesus   Christ,
    who   died   for   us,   that   whether   we may watch   or
we may sleep,   together   with   him   we may live.
    Wherefore   encourage   one another,   and   build up   one   the   other,   even as
also   ye are doing.
    But we beseech     you,   brethren,   to know   those who   labour   among   you,
and   take the lead   of you   in   [the] Lord,   and   admonish   you,
    and   to esteem   them   exceedingly     in   love   on account of   their work.
      Be at peace   among   yourselves.
    But we exhort     you,   brethren,   admonish   the   disorderly,
console   the   faint-hearted,   sustain   the   weak,
be patient   towards   all.
    See that   not   anyone   evil   for   evil   to anyone   render,   but   always   the
good   pursue   both   towards   one another   and   towards   all;
    always   rejoice;
    unceasingly   pray;
    in   everything   give thanks,   for this     [is the] will   of God   in   Christ   Jesus
towards   you;
    the   Spirit   do not quench;
    prophecies   do not set at naught;
    all things   prove,   the   right   hold fast;
    from   every   form   of wickedness   abstain.
