First Epistle to the Corinthians

CHAPTER 12

περι

των

πνευματικων

αδελφοι

ου

θελω

υμας

But concerning

spirituals,

brethren,

I do not wish

♦

you

αγνοειν
to be ignorant.

οιδατε

οτι

εθνη

ητε

προς

τα

ειδωλα

τα

αφωνα

ως

αν

Ye know

that

Gentiles

ye were,

to 3

idols 5

♦

dumb 4

as 6

ye 7 might 8 be 9 led, 10

ηγεσθε		απαγομενοι
♦		led 1 away. 2

πνευματι

Therefore

I give to 2 know 3

that

no one

in

[the] Spirit

of God

speaking

says

accursed [is]

Jesus;

and

no one

can

say

Lord

Jesus,

except

διαιρεσεις

δε

χαρισματων

εισιν

το

δε

αυτο

πνευμα

But diversities

♦

of gifts

there are,

but the

same

Spirit;

διαιρεσεις

διακονιων

εισιν

και

ο

αυτος

κυριος

and

diversities

of services

there are,

and

the

same

Lord;

και

διαιρεσεις

ενεργηματων

εισιν

ο

δε

αυτος

εστιν

θεος

ο

and

diversities

of operations

there are,

but the

same

who

ενεργων		τα		παντα		εν		πασιν
operates		all things		♦		in		all.

εκαστω

δε

διδοται

η

φανερωσις

του

πνευματος

προς

το

συμφερον

But to each

is given

the

manifestation

of the

Spirit

for

profit.

πνευματος

διδοται

λογος

σοφιας

αλλω

For to one

by

the

Spirit

is given

a word

of wisdom;

and to another

γνωσεως

a word

of knowledge,

according to

the

same

Spirit;

and to a different one

faith,

the

Spirit;

and to another

χαρισματα

αυτω

πνευματι

gifts

of healing,

in

the

same

Spirit;

δυναμεων

αλλω

δε

προφητεια

and to another

operations

of works of power;

and to another

♦

prophecy;

αλλω

δε

διακρισεις

πνευματων

ετερω

δε

γενη

γλωσσων

and to another

discerning

of spirits;

and to a different one

♦

kinds

of tongues;

αλλω		δε		ερμηνεια		γλωσσων
and to another		♦		interpretation		of tongues.

But all

these things

dividing

separately		to each		according as		he wills.

For also

Spirit

into

one

body

were baptized,

ειτε

ιουδαιοι

ειτε

ελληνες

ειτε

δουλοι

ειτε

ελευθεροι

και

παντες

εις

whether

Jews

or

Greeks,

whether

bondmen

or

free

and

all

into

	εν		πνευμα		εποτισθημεν
	one		Spirit		were made to drink.

εστιν

μελος

αλλα

πολλα

For also

the

body

is not

♦

one

member,

but

many.

πους

ειμι

χειρ

And is not able

suffers

member,

suffers with [it]

all

the

members;

if

be glorified

συγχαιρει

member,

rejoices with [it]

all

the

members.

Now ye

[the] body

of Christ,

members

in

particular.

And

certain

assembly:

first,

apostles;

διδασκαλους

prophets;

thirdly,

teachers;

works of power;

κυβερνησεις

γενη

γλωσσων

gifts

of healing;

helps;

governments;

kinds

of tongues.

χαρισματα

κρειττονα

ετι

καθ

yet

υπερβολην		οδον		υμιν		δεικνυμι
