to [the] Lord

regards [it];

to [the] Lord

regards [it] not.

♦

He that

eats,

κυριω

εσθιει

ευχαριστει

γαρ

τω

θεω

και

ο

μη

εσθιων

to [the] Lord

eats,

for he gives thanks

♦

to God;

and

he that

ευχαριστει

he eats not,

to God.

τουτο

γαρ

χριστος

και

απεθανεν

και

ανεστη

και

ανεζησεν

ινα

For, for this

Christ

both

died

and

rose

and

lived again,

that

και		νεκρων		και		ζωντων		κυριευση
both [the]		dead		and		livng		he might rule over.

αδελφον

εξουθενεις

But thou

why

judgest thou

why

does thou despise

αδελφον

σου

παντες

γαρ

παραστησομεθα

βηματι

thy brother?

For all

♦

we shall stand before

the

judgment seat

of the

χριστου
Christ.

γεγραπται

γαρ

ζω

εγω

λεγει

κυριος

οτι

εμοι

καμψει

παν

γονυ

It has been written

for,

Live

I,

says

[the] Lord,

that

to me

shall bow

every

knee,

και

πασα

γλωσσα

εξομολογησεται

τω

θεω

and

every

tongue

shall confess

♦

to God.

αρα

ουν

εκαστος

ημων

περι

εαυτου

λογον

δωσει

τω

θεω

So

then

each

of us

concerning

himself

account

shall give

♦

to God.

13

μηκετι

ουν

αλληλους

κρινωμεν

αλλα

τουτο

κρινατε

μαλλον

το

No longer

therefore

one another

should we judge;

but

this

judge ye

rather,

♦

μη

τιθεναι

προσκομμα

τω

αδελφω

η

σκανδαλον

not to put

♦

an occaision of stumbling

to the

brother

or

a cause of offence.

πεπεισμαι

εν

κυριω

ιησου

οτι

ουδεν

κοινον

δι

εαυτου

I know

and

am persuaded

in [the]

Lord

Jesus,

that

nothing [is]

unclean

of

itself:

ει

μη

τω

λογιζομενω

τι

κοινον

ειναι

εκεινω

κοινον

except

♦

to him who

reckons

anything

unclean

to be,

to that one

unclean [it is].

δια

βρωμα

ο

αδελφος

σου

λυπειται

ουκετι

is grieved,

απολλυε

thou walkest.

righteousness

peace

then

the things

of peace

we should pursue,

and

the things

♦

for building up

one another.		♦		♦

ενεκεν

βρωματος

καταλυε

το

εργον

του

θεου

παντα

μεν

Not

for the sake of

meat

destroy

the

work

♦

of God.

All things

indeed [are]

καθαρα

αλλα

κακον

τω

ανθρωπω

τω

δια

προσκομματος

εσθιοντι

pure;

but

[it is] evil

to the

man

who

through

stumbling

eats.

κρεα

μηδε

πιειν

οινον

μηδε

εν

ω

ο

[It is] right

not

to eat

flesh,

nor

drink

wine,

nor

in

what

thy brother

αδελφος

σου

προσκοπτει

η

σκανδαλιζεται

η

ασθενει

♦

♦

stumbles,

or

is offended,

or

is weak.

πιστιν

σαυτον

ενωπιον

θεου

μακαριος

Blessed

δοκιμαζει

[is] he that

judges not

himself

in

what

he approves.

διακρινομενος

φαγη

κατακεκριται

οτι

ουκ

But he that

♦

doubts,

if

he eat,

has been condemned,

because [it is]

not

εκ

πιστεως

παν

δε

ο

ουκ

εκ

πιστεως

αμαρτια

εστιν

of

faith;

and everything

♦

which [is]

not

of

faith,

sin 2

is. 1
