Gospel of John

CHAPTER 17
These things   spoke     Jesus,   and   lifted up     eyes 2   his 1   to
the   heaven   and   said,   Father,   has 3 come 4   the 1   hour; 2   glorify   thy     Son,
that   also   thy Son       may glorify   thee;
as   thou gavest   him   authority   over all   flesh,   that [of]   all   which
thou hast given   him,   he should give   to them   life   eternal.
And this     is   the   eternal   life,   that   they should know   thee   the   only
true   God,   and   whom 3   thou 4 didst 5 send 6   Jesus 1   Christ. 2
I   thee   glorified   on   the   earth;   the   work   I completed   which   thou hast given   me
that   I should do;
and   now   glorify   me   thou,   Father,   with   thyself,   with the   glory   which   I had
before   the     world   was   with   thee.
I manifested   thy     name   to the   men   whom   thou hast given   me   out of
the   world.   Thine   they were,   and   to me   them   thou hast given,   and   thy word
  they have kept.
    Now   they have known   that   all things   whatsoever   thou hast given   me,   of   thee   are;
for   the   words   which   thou hast given   me   I have given   them,   and   they
received [them],   and   knew   truly   that   from   thee   I came out,   and   they believed
that   thou   me   didst send.
I   concerning   them   make request;   not   concerning   the   world   make I request,
but   concerning   whom   thou hast given   me,   for   thine   they are:
(and   things 3   my 2   all 1   thine 5   are, 4   and   thine [are]     mine)   and   I have been glorified
in   them.
And   no   longer   I am   in   the   world,   and   these   in   the   world   are,   and   I
to   thee   come.   Father 2   Holy, 1   keep   them   in   thy name
whom   thou hast given   me,   that   they may be   one,   as   we.
When   I was   with   them   in   the   world   I   was keeping   them   in   thy name:
whom   thou hast given   me   I guarded,   and   no one   of   them
perished,   except     the   son     of perdition,   that   the   scripture   might be fulfilled.
And now     to   thee   I come;   and   these things   I speak   in   the   world   that
they may have     joy 2     my 1   fulfilled   in   them.
I   have given   them   thy word,       and   the   world   hated   them,
because   they are not     of   the   world,   as   I   am not     of   the
world.
I do not make request     that   thou shouldest take   them   out of   the   world,
but   that   thou shouldest keep   them   out of   the   evil.
Of   the   world   they are not,     as   I   of   the   world   not 2   am. 1
Sanctify   them   by   thy truth;         word 2     thy 1   truth   is.
As   me   thou didst send   into   the   world,   I also   sent   them   into
the   world;
and   for   them   I   sanctify   myself,   that   also   they   may be   sanctified
in   truth.
    Not 2   for 3   these 4   and 1   make 7 I 6 request 8   only, 5   but   also   for   those who
shall believe   through   their word       on   me;
that   all   one   may be,   as   thou,   Father,   [art] in   me,   and I   in   thee,   that   also
they   in   us   one   may be,   that   the   world   may believe   that   thou   me   didst send.
And   I   the   glory   which   thou hast given   me   have given   them,   that   they may be
one,   as   we   one   are:
I   in   them,   and   thou   in   me,   that   they may be   perfected   into   one,   and
that   may 3 know 4   the 1   world 2   that   thou   me   didst send,   and   lovedst   them
as   me   thou lovedst.
Father,   whom   thou hast given   me   I desire   that   where   am 2   I 1   they also   may be   with
me,   that   they may behold     glory 2     my 1   which   thou gavest   me,   for
thou lovedst   me   before   [the] foundation   of [the] world.
Father 2   righteous, 1   and   the   world   thee   knew not,     but I     thee   knew,   and
these   knew   that   thou   me   didst send.
And   I made known   to them   thy name,       and   will make [it] known;   that   the
love   with which   thou lovedst   me   in   them   may be;   and I   in   them.
