Gospel of Luke

CHAPTER 19
And   having entered   was passed through     Jericho.
And behold,     a man   by name   called   Zacchaeus,   and   he   was
a chief tax-gatherer,   and   he   was   rich.
And   he was seeking   to see     Jesus--   who   he is:   and   he was not able     for
the   crowd,   because     in stature   small   he was.
And   having run forward   before,   he went up   into   a sycomore,   that   he might see
him,   for   by   that [way]   he was about   to pass.
And   as   he came   go   the   place,   looking up     Jesus   saw   him,   and   said
to   him,   Zacchaeus   making haste   come down   for to-day     in   thy house
  it behoveth   me   to remain.
And   making haste   he came down   and   received   him   rejoicing.
And   having seen [it]   all   murmured,   saying,     With   a sinful
man   he has entered   to lodge.
But standing     Zacchaeus   said   to   the   Lord,   Lo,   the   half
of my possessions,       Lord   I give   to the   poor,   and   if
of anyone   anything   I took by false accusation,   I return   fourfold.
And said 2     to 3   him 4     Jesus, 1     To-day   salvation   to this house
is come,   inasmuch as   also   he   a son   of Abraham   is:
for came 5     the 1   Son 2     of 3 man 4   to seek   and   to save   that which
has been lost.
But as were 2 hearing 3     they 1   these things,   adding   he spoke   a parable,
because     near 3   he 1   was 2   Jerusalem,   and   thought 2   they 1   that
immediately   was about   the   kingdom     of God   to be manifested.
He said   therefore,   A man 2   certain 1   high born   proceeded   to   a country 2   distant, 1
to receive   for himself   a kingdom   and   to return.
And having called     ten   of his bondmen     he gave   to them   ten   minas,
and   said   to   them,   Trade   until   I come.
But his citizens         hated   him   and   sent
an embassy   after   him,   saying,   We are unwilling [for]     this [man]
to reign   over   us.
And   it came to pass   on     coming 2 back 3 again 4   his 1   having received   the
kingdom,   that   he directed   to be called   to him   these bondmen
to whom   he gave   the   money,   in order that   he might know   what each
had gained by trading.
And came up     the   first,   saying,   Lord,   thy mina
has produced   ten   minas.
And   he said   to him,   Well!   good   bondman;   because   in   a very little   faithful   thou was,
be thou   authority 2   having 1   over   ten   cities.
And   came   the   second,   saying,   Lord,   thy mina       has made   five
μνας
minas.
And he said     also   to this one,   And   thou 2   be 1   over   five   cities.
And   another   came,   saying,   Lord,   behold     thy mina,     which   I kept
laid up   in   a handkerchief.
I 2 feared 3   for 1   thee,   because   a man   harsh   thou art;   thou takest up   what
thou didst not lay down     and   thou reapest   what   thou didst not sow.
He 2 says 3   but 1   to him,   Out of   thy mouth       I will judge   thee,   wicked
bondman:   thou knewest   that   I   a 2 man 4   harsh 3   am, 1   taking up   what
I did not lay down     and   reaping   what   I did not sow!
and   why   did thou not give     my money       to   the   bank,   that
I   coming   with   interest   might have required     it?
And   to those   standing by   he said,   Take   from   him   the   mina,   and   give [it]
to him who   the   ten   minas   has.
(And   they said   to him,   Lord,   he has   ten   minas.)
For I say     to you,   that   to everyone   who   has   shall be given;   but from     him who
has not,     even   that which   he has   shall be taken   from   him.
Moreover   mine 2 enemies 3       those 1   who   were unwilling [for]
me   to reign   over   them,   bring   here   and   slay [them]
before   me.
And   having said   these things   he went on   before,   going up   to
Jersualem.
And   it came to pass   as   he drew near   to   Bethphage   and   Bethany,   towards   the   mount
called   of Olives,   he sent   two   of his disciples,
saying,   Go   into   the   opposite 2 [you] 3   village, 1   in   which   entering
ye will find   a colt   tied,   on   which   no one   ever 3 yet 4   of 1 men 2
sat:   having loosed   it   bring [it].
And   if   anyone   you 2   ask, 1   Why   do ye loose [it]?   thus   shall ye say   to him,
Because   the   Lord   of 3 it 4   need 2   has. 1
And having departed     those who   had been sent   found   as   he had said
to them.
And on their loosing       the   colt   said 5   the 1   masters 2   of 3 it 4   to
them,   Why   loose ye   the   colt?
And they     said,   The   Lord   of 3 it 4   need 2   has. 1
And   they led   it   to     Jesus;   and   having cast   their
garments   on   the   colt,   they put on 2 [it] 3     Jesus. 1
And as he went       they were strewing   their garments       in   the
οδω
way.
And as he drew near       already   at   the   descent   of the   mount
of Olives   began   all   the   multitude   of the   disciples,   rejoicing   to praise
God   with a voice 2   loud 1   for   all   which 5   they 6 had 7 seen 8

Peace   in   heaven   and   glory   in   [the] highest.
And   some   of the   Pharisees   from   the   crowd   said   to   him,   Teacher,
rebuke   thy disciples.
And   answering   he said   to them,   I say   to you,   that   if   these   should be silent   the
