Gospel of Luke

CHAPTER 17
And he said     to   the   disciples,   Impossible   it is   that   should 2 not 3 come 4
offences, 1   but woe [to him]     by   whom   they come.
It is profitable   for him   if   a millstone   turned by an ass   is put   about   his neck,
and   he is cast   into   the   sea,   than   that
he should cause to 6 offend 7   one 1   of 2 these 3 little 4 ones. 5
Take heed   to yourselves:   and if     should 3 sin 4   against 5   thee 6   thy brother,
rebuke   him;   and   if   he should repent,   forgive   him.
And   if   seven times   in the   day   he should sin   against thee,     and   seven times   in the
day   should return   to   thee,   saying   I repent,   thou shalt forgive   him.
And   said   the   apostles   to the   Lord,   Give more   to 2 us 3   faith. 1
But said 3     the 1   Lord, 2   If   ye had   faith,   as   a grain   of mustard,   ye might say
to this sycamine tree,       Be thou rooted up,   and   be thou planted   in   the
sea,   and   it would obey     you.
But which     of   you   a 2 bondman 3   having 1   ploughing   or   shepherding,
who [to him]   come in   out of   the   field   will say   immediately,   Having come
recline [at table]?
but   will he not say     to him,   Prepare   what   I may sup on,   and   girding thyself about
serve   me,   while   I eat   and   drink;   and   after   these things   shalt 2 eat 3   and 4   drink 5
συ
thou? 1
Is he thankful     to that bondman       because   he did   the things
commanded   him?   I judge not.
Thus   also   ye,   when   ye may have done   all things     commanded   you,
say,     Bondmen 2   unprofitable 1   are we,   for   that which   we were bound   to do
we have done.
And   it came to pass   in   his going up       to   Jerusalem   that
he   passed   through   [the] midst   of Samaria   and   Galilee.
And   on his entering     into   a certain   village   met 4   him 5   ten 1
leprous 2   men, 3   who   stood   afar off.
And   they   lifted up   [their] voice   saying,   Jesus.   Master,   have compassion on
ημας
us.
And   seeing [them]   he said   to them,   Having gone   shew   yourselves   to the
priests.   And   it came to pass   in     going 2   their 1   they were cleansed.
And one     of   them,   seeing   that   he was healed,   turned back,   with   a voice 2
loud 1   glorifying     God,
and   fell   on   [his] face   at   his feet,       giving thanks   to him:
and   he   was   a Samaritan.
Answering 2   and 1     Jesus   said,   Not 2   the 3   ten 4   were cleansed? 1   but the 3
nine 4   where 1 [are]? 2
Were there not found     [any] returning   to give   glory     to God
except     this stranger?
And   he said   to him,   Having risen up   go forth;   thy faith       has cured   thee.
And having been asked     by   the   Pharisees,   when   is coming   the   kingdom
of God,   he answered   them   and   said,   Comes 5 not 6     the 1   kingdom 2
of 3 God 4   with   observation;
nor   shall they say,   Lo   here,   or   Lo   there;   for lo,     the   kingdom     of God
in the midst   of you   is.
And he said     to   the   disciples,   Will 2 come 3   days, 1   when   ye will desire
one   of the   days   of the   Con     of man   to see,   and   shall not see [it].

And   they will say   to you,   Lo   here,   or   Lo   there;   go not forth     nor
follow.
For as     the   lightning   which   lightens   from   the [one end]   under   heaven
to   the [other end]   under   heaven   shines,   thus   will be   also   the   Son
of man   in   his day.
But first     it behoves   him   many things   to suffer,   and   to be rejected   of
  generation 2   this. 1
And   as   it came to pass   in   the   days     of Noe,   thus   shall it be   also   in
the   days   of the   Son     of man.
They were eating,   they were drinking,   they were marrying,   they were being given in marriage,
until   the day     entered 2   Noe 1   into   the   ark,   and   came   the
flood   and   destoryed   all.
In 2 like 3 manner 4   and 1   as   it came to pass   in   the   days   of Lot;   they were eating,
they were drinking,   they were buying,   they were selling,   they were planting,   they were building;
but on the     day   went 2 out 3   Lot 1   from   Sodom   it rained   fire   and   sulphur
from   heaven   and   destroyed   all.
In this way     shall it be   in the day     the   Son     of man
is revealed.
In   that     day   [he] who   shall be   on   the   housetop,   and   his goods
in   the   house,   let him not come down     to take away   them   and   he   in
the   field   likewise   let him not return     to   the things   behind.
    Remember   the   wife   of Lot.
Whoever     may seek     his life     to save,   shall lose   it;   and   whoever
may lose   it,   shall preserve   it.
I say   to you,   In that     night   there shall be   two [men]   upon   bed 2   one; 1   the   one
shall be taken,   and   the   other   shall be left.
Two [women]   shall be   grinding   together;       one   shall be taken,
and   the   other   shall be left.
And   answering   they say   to him,   Where,   Lord?   And he     said   to them,
Where   the   body [is]   there   will be gathered together   the   eagles.
