ΤΟ ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΡΚΟΝ ΑΓΙΟΝ ΕΥΑΓΓΕΛΙΟΝ

Gospel of Mark

 

CHAPTER 16
  1  και   διαγενομενου   του   σαββατου   μαρια   η   μαγδαληνη   και   μαρια  
    And   being 3 past 4   the 1   sabbath, 2   Mary   the   Magdalene   and   Mary  
η   του   ιακωβου   και   σαλωμη   ηγορασαν   αρωματα   ινα   ελθουσαι  
the [mother]   ♦   of James   and   Salome   bought   aromatics,   that   having come  
αλειψωσιν   αυτον    
they might anoint   him.    
  2  και   λιαν   πρωι   της   μιας   σαββατων   ερχονται   επι   το   μνημειον  
    And   very   early   on the   first [day]   of the week   they come   to   the   tomb,  
ανατειλαντος   του   ηλιου    
having 3 arisen 4   the 1   sun. 2    
  3  και   ελεγον   προς   εαυτας   τις   αποκυλισει   ημιν   τον   λιθον   εκ   της  
    And   they said   among   themselves,   Who   will roll away   for us   the   stone   out of   the  
θυρας   του   μνημειου    
door   of the   tomb?    
  4  και   αναβλεψασαι   θεωρουσιν   οτι   αποκεκυλισται   ο   λιθος   ην   γαρ  
    And   having looked up   they see   that   has been rolled away   the   stone:   for it was   ♦  
μεγας   σφοδρα    
great 2   very. 1    
  5  και   εισελθουσαι   εις   το   μνημειον   ειδον   νεανισκον   καθημενον   εν   τοις  
    And   having entered   into   the   tomb,   they saw   a young man   sitting   on   the  
δεξιοις   περιβεβλημενον   στολην   λευκην   και   εξεθαμβηθησαν    
right,   clothed with   a robe 2   white, 1   and   they were greatly amazed.    
  6  ο   δε   λεγει   αυταις   μη   εκθαμβεισθε   ιησουν   ζητειτε   τον   ναζαρηνον  
    But he   ♦   says   to them,   Not 2   be amazed. 1   Jesus 3   ye 1 seek 2   the   Nazarene,  
τον   εσταυρωμενον   ηγερθη   ουκ   εστιν   ωδε   ιδε   ο   τοπος   οπου  
who   has been crucified.   He is risen,   he is not   ♦   here;   behold   the   place   where  
εθηκαν   αυτον    
they laid   him.    
  7  αλλ   υπαγετε   ειπατε   τοις   μαθηταις   αυτου   και   τω   πετρω   οτι  
    But   go,   say   to his disciples   ♦   ♦   and   ♦   to Peter,   that  
προαγει   υμας   εις   την   γαλιλαιαν   εκει   αυτον   οψεσθε   καθως   ειπεν  
he goes before   you   into   ♦   Galilee;   there   him   shall ye see,   as   he said  
υμιν    
to you.    
  8  και   εξελθουσαι   ταχυ   εφυγον   απο   του   μνημειου   ειχεν   δε   αυτας  
    And   having gone out   quickly   they fled   from   the   tomb.   And possessed 4   ♦   them 5  
τρομος   και   εκστασις   και   ουδενι   ουδεν   ειπον  
trembling 1   and 2   amazement, 3   and   to no one   anything (lit. nothing)   they spoke,  
εφοβουντο   γαρ    
for they were afraid.   ♦    
  9  αναστας   δε   πρωι   πρωτη   σαββατου   εφανη   πρωτον   μαρια   τη  
    Now having risen   ♦   early [the]   first [day]   of the week   he appeared   first   to Mary   the  
μαγδαληνη   αφ   ης   εκβεβληκει   επτα   δαιμονια    
Magdalene,   from   whom   he had cast out   seven   demons.    
  10  εκεινη   πορευθεισα   απηγγειλεν   τοις   μετ   αυτου   γενομενοις  
    She   having gone   told [it]   to those who   with   him   had been,  
πενθουσιν   και   κλαιουσιν    
[who were] grieving   and   weeping.    
  11  κακεινοι   ακουσαντες   οτι   ζη   και   εθεαθη   υπ   αυτης   ηπιστησαν    
    And they   having heard   that   he is alive   and   has been seen   by   her   disbelieved [it].    
  12  μετα   δε   ταυτα   δυσιν   εξ   αυτων   περιπατουσιν   εφανερωθη   εν  
    And after   ♦   these things   to two   of   them   as they walked   he was manifested   in  
ετερα   μορφη   πορευομενοις   εις   αγρον    
another   form,   going   into   [the] country;    
  13  κακεινοι   απελθοντες   απηγγειλαν   τοις   λοιποις   ουδε   εκεινοις  
    and they   having gone   told [it]   to the   rest;   neither   them  
επιστευσαν    
did they believe.    
  14  υστερον   ανακειμενοις   αυτοις   τοις   ενδεκα   εφανερωθη   και  
    Afterwards   as reclined 2 [at 3 table] 4   they 1   to the   eleven   he was manifested   and  
ωνειδισεν   την   απιστιαν   αυτων   και   σκληροκαρδιαν   οτι  
reproached   their unbelief   ♦   ♦   and   hardness of heart,   because  
τοις   θεασαμενοις   αυτον   εγηγερμενον   ουκ   επιστευσαν    
those 4 who 5   had 6 seen 7   him 8   arisen 9   they 1 believed 2 not. 3   ♦    
  15  και   ειπεν   αυτοις   πορευθεντες   εις   τον   κοσμον   απαντα   κηρυξατε   το  
    And   he said   to them,   Having gone   into   the 2   world 3   all 1   proclaim   the  
ευαγγελιον   παση   τη   κτισει    
glad tidings   to all   the   creation.    
  16  ο   πιστευσας   και   βαπτισθεις   σωθησεται   ο   δε   απιστησας  
    He that   believes   and   is baptized   shall be saved,   and he that   ♦   disbelieves  
κατακριθησεται    
shall be condemned.    
  17  σημεια   δε   τοις   πιστευσασιν   ταυτα   παρακολουθησει   εν   τω  
    And signs 2   ♦   those 5 that 6   believe 7   these 1   shall 3 follow. 4   in   my name  
ονοματι   μου   δαιμονια   εκβαλουσιν   γλωσσαις   λαλησουσιν   καιναις    
♦   ♦   demons   they shall cast out;   with tongues 2   they 3 shall 4 speak 5   new; 1    
  18  οφεις   αρουσιν   καν   θανασιμον   τι   πιωσιν   ου   μη  
    serpents   they shall take up;   and if   deadly 2   anything 1   they drink   in no wise   ♦  
αυτους   βλαψει   επι   αρρωστους   χειρας   επιθησουσιν   και   καλως  
them   shall it injure;   upon   [the] infirm   hands 4   they 1 shall 2 lay, 3   and   well 4  
εξουσιν    
they 1 shall 2 be. 3    
  19  ο   μεν   ουν   κυριος   μετα   το   λαλησαι   αυτοις   ανεληφθη   εις   τον  
    The   indeed 2   therefore 3   Lord 1   after   ♦   speaking   to them   was taken up   into   the  
ουρανον   και   εκαθισεν   εκ   δεξιων   του   θεου    
heaven,   and   sat   at [the]   right hand   ♦   of God.    
  20  εκεινοι   δε   εξελθοντες   εκηρυξαν   πανταχου   του   κυριου  
    And they   ♦   having gone forth   preached   everywhere,   the   Lord  
συνεργουντος   και   τον   λογον   βεβαιουντος   δια   των   επακολουθουντων  
working with [them],   and   the   word   confirming   by   the   following 2 upon 3 [it] 4  
σημειων   αμην  
signs. 1   Amen.
