Gospel of Mark

CHAPTER 11
And   when   they drew near   to   Jerusalem,   to   Bethphage   and   Bethany,   towards   the
mount     of Olives,   he sends   two   of his disciples,
and   says   to them,   Go   into   the   village,   that opposite     you,   and
immediately   entering   into   it   ye will find   a colt   tied,   upon
which   no one   of men   has sat:   having loosed   it   lead [it].
And   if   anyone   to you   say,   Why   do ye   this?   say,     The   Lord   of 3 it 4
need 2   has, 1   and   immediately   it   he will send   hither.
And they departed,     and   found   the   colt   tied   at   the   door
without,   by   the   cross way,   and   they loose   it.
And   some   of those   there   standing   said   to them,   What   are ye doing   loosing
the   colt?
And they     said   to them   as   commanded 2     Jesus. 1   And   they allowed
them.
And   they led   the   colt   to     Jesus.   And   they cast upon   it
their garments,       and   he sat   on   it;
and many     their garments       strewed   on   the   way,   and others
branches   were cutting down   from   the   trees,   and   were strewing [them]   on   the
οδον
way.
And   those   going before   and   those   following   were crying out,   saying,
Hosanna!   blessed   [be] he who   comes   in [the]   name   of [the] Lord.
Blessed   [be] the   coming   kingdom   in 5 [the] 6   name 7   of 8 [the] 9 Lord 10
of 1 our 2 father 3       David. 4   Hosanna   in   the   highest!
And   entered 2   into 3   Jerusalem 4     Jesus 1   and   into   the   temple;   and
having looked round on   all things,   late   already   being   the   hour,   he went out   to
Bethany   with   the   twelve.
And   on the   morrow   having 2 gone 3 out 4   they 1   from   Bethany,   he hungered.
And   seeing   a fig-tree   afar off   having   leaves,   he went   if   perhaps   he will find
anything   on   it.   And   having come   to   it,   nothing   he found   except     leaves,
for it was not       [the] season   of figs.
And   answering 2     Jesus 1   said   to it,   No more   of   thee   for     ever
any 2 one 3 (lit. no one)   fruit 5   to 1 eat. 4   And   heard 3     disciples 2   his. 1
And   they come   to   Jerusalem;   and   having 2 entered 3     Jesus 1   into   the   temple
he began   to cast out   those   selling   and   buying   in   the   temple,   and   the
tables   of the   money changers   and   the   seats   of those   selling   the
doves   he overthrew.
and   suffered not     that   anyone   should carry   a vessel   through   the   temple.
And   he taught,   saying   to them,   Not 3   has 1 it 2 been written,     My house
a house   of prayer   shall be called   for all   the   nations?   but ye     made
  it   a den   of robbers.
And   heard 7 [it] 8   the 1   scribes 2   and 3   the 4   chief 5 priests, 6   and   they sought   how
him   they shall destroy:   for they feared     him,   because   all   the   crowd
were astonished   at   his teaching.
And   when   evening   came   he went forth   out of   the   city.
And   in the morning   passing by   they saw   the   fig-tree   dried up
from [the]   roots.
And   having 2 remembered 3     Peter 1   says   to him   Rabbi.   see,   the   fig-tree   which
thou cursedst   is dried up.
And   answering 2   Jesus 1   says   to them,   Have   faith   in God.
For verily     I say   to you,   that   whoever     shall say   to this mountain,
Be thou taken away   and   be thou cast   into   the   sea,   and   shall not doubt
in   his heart,       but   shall believe   that   what   he says   takes place,   there shall be
to him   whatever     he shall say.
For this reason     I say   to you,   All things   whatsoever     praying
ye ask,   believe   that   ye receive,   and [they]   shall be   to you.
And   when   ye may stand   praying,   forgive   if anything     ye have   against
anyone,   that   also   your Father       who [is]   in   the   heavens   may forgive
you     offences 2   your. 1
But if     ye   forgive not,     neither   your Father       who [is]   in
the   heavens   will forgive   your offences.
And   the come   again   to   Jerusalem.   And   in   the   temple   as he is walking
come   to   him   the   chief priests   and   the   scribes   and   the
elders,
and   they say   to him,   By   what   authority   these things   doest thou?   and   who   thee
authority 2   this 1   gave,   that   these things   thou shouldst do?
And Jesus       answering   said   to them   Will 2 ask 3   you 4   I also   one
thing,   and   answer   me,   and   I will tell   you   by   what   authority   these things
I do:
The   baptism   of John   from   heaven   was it   or   from   men?   answer
μοι
me.
And   they reasoned   with   themselves,   saying,   If   we should say,   From   heaven,
he will say,   Why   then   did ye not believe     him?
but   if   we should say,   From   men,--   they feared   the   people;   for all
held     John   that   indeed   a prophet   he was.
And   answering   they say     to Jesus,   We know not.     And
Jesus   answering   says   to them,   Neither   I 2   tell 1   you   by   what   authority
these things   I do.
