Nachṓr): (1) Son of Serug and grandfather of Abraham Gen 11:22-25; 1Ch 1:26.(2) Son of Terah and brother of Abraham Gen 11:26-27, Gen 11:29; Gen 22:20, Gen 22:23; Gen 24:15, Gen 24:24, Gen 24:47; Gen 29:5; Jos 24:2.A city of Nahor is mentioned in Gen 24:10; the God of Nahor in Gen 31:53. In the King James Version Jos 24:2; Luk 3:34, the name is spelled “Nachor.”
